A New Wave of Angels

 

 

I noticed in the back of SOD, the Sound Off section.. there is a small block set aside for "Fan Campaign of the Week" In that one is a campaign that went out for Adrianne Leon (ex-BrookLynn from GH) from Y&R, who was let go and the fans sent in letters with strawberry, tomato and daisy seeds to CBS execs, symbolizing the gift Colleen gave Adrian on Valentines day. I also heard that when the fans wanted Sami and Lucas back together on Days, they sent hundreds of cards in to SOD and it made it into the campaign slot ..so.. I want the Operation: Genie's Angels in that Campaign slot!!! This is our chance to get some more publicity!!  It's time to send off a new wave of Angels to SOD and have our voices heard!! Luke needs his Angel back and so do we!!  So Monday it's time to send off the next wave of Angels!!

Hit the 800 mark!!

Well, I thought I would report that as of today, this official website has gotten 800 hits!!  So close to 1,000!!!  If only half of the people who have looked at Operation: Genie's Angels are actually getting involved, then ABC has gotten a whirlwind of mail delivered!!  What a fantastic thing this has become!  We must express just how much we love you and miss you, Genie!! We want you home!

Just a quick Angel find

 

 

So, I was at Wal-Mart picking up my antibiotics and pain meds for my recent injury (sliced a finger open on a broken glass washing dishes of all things) and I wandered about the craft section.  I found these little "zipper" adournments, you just clip them to your zippers to make them cuter.  Needless to say they had Angels, so I grabbed a handful of them to mail off!  See?  Always got Genie on the brain!!

For the Financially challenged!

 

For the financially challenged, like myself!!  This is what I've done.  I took the Genie's Angels background (above) from the myspace and the Official website, scaled it down to a bit smaller than 3X5 size, printed it out on paper.  I cut each one of those out, and glued them to a 3X5 card.  Ready made postcard! And it matches the websites

I'm determined to do my part in flying with Genie's Angels!!

It's Friday!  I hope everyone had a great week!  Weekend is upon us and Monday will be here before we know it!  Time to package up all your angels and have them ready for the post office Monday morning!  Let's flood Jill Phelps with our Angels, let her know we want OUR Angel back!  Genie is a "hot item" these days, and we want her back on GH.   Luke needs her back, the Spencer kids need her back and Nik needs her back!! Most importantly, Genie wants to go back to her home! Let's get flying Angels and help make that happen!!!

OK, angels. Dust off your wings!!! Get ready to descend on Jill Phelps!!! Prepare yourselves for the first wave to mail on Monday morning. Consider this. Even if the bigwigs have managed to keep this campaign a sceret so far, once it hits the studio, it will be public knowledge. The Prospect Studio is a rather small place. Two shows share it...GH and Grey's Anatomy. There is one commissary. There is one parking lot, and one rather small outdoor area. The staffs mingle. Try to imagine several thousand pieces of mail coming in from all over the country addressed to Jill. Many are postcards with similar messages on them. Everyone will soon be clucking over the fact that something major is happening. Kin Shriner is over there several times a week. He will get the word about this and pass it on to Genie and Tony. I am thinking of Genie sitting there in Maine and being so touched by the fact that fans have gone to this trouble to support her. I am thinking about Tony in Amsterdam frustrated as heck about his storyline, wanting to work with Genie, and wondering if this just might be the tipping point. Yes it is, Tony and Genie!!! The fans are speaking out. Push has come to shove. Get ready to fly, angels!!!!! Spread you angel wings and fly. Monday morning. Jill is the one who made this disaster happen in the first place. Now she can feel the heat too. FLY ANGELS!!! FLY!!!!!

Hey "Angels"

Hey "Angels"!!  I hope that everyone is still working hard mailing out their Angels for Genie!!  Personally I hit up the post office yesterday, I had to put everything in a bag to bring it in there! One of the "Angels" involved in the campaign will be going to the GH Fan weekend and trying to get some publicity for us through the magazines etc. in attendence.  This is a fantastic opportunity for the campaign to go further than just those of us on the internet!!

Keep on sending those angels, let's bring our Angel home!!

Now Playing: Fascination

So it's been a couple days since I've been here to post any updates..been busy ripping and running..and in between I've been keeping up with the 10 different message boards on which the Operation: Genie's Angels is posted.  Still having a wonderfully postive response!  Thousands of Angel items should have already hit the GH mailroom!

Personally, I have aquired a rubber angel stamp with the ink pad to stamp everything with Angels.  I have some "sun catchers" that say Angel, with angel wings and a halo on them.  Some 3-D felt Angel stickers, angel key chains that say "I believe in Angels", wooden words that read "Angel".  Today I came across a brass Angel stencil, so I will be putting my daughter to work using that on some cloud paper.

All in all, this has been a successful campaign, but it is far from over!!

E-mail rampage to Sponsors of ABC/GH regarding the lack of a congratulatory spot for Genie
I'm highly aggrevated that ABC/GH did not have the decency to place a congratulatory spot for Genie's Emmy win as they did for Rick Hearst. I just went on an emailing rampage and sent this message to many ABC/GH sponsors:

"As a watcher of ABC and more specifically, General Hospital, I have noticed that you are a sponsor for the programming. I am writing as a disgruntled ABC/GH watcher. ABC/GH did not have the class or dignity to give a congratulatory space to their recent Emmy winner, Ms. Genie Francis. This oversight is grossly negligent to say the least. It is a slap in the face to all of the long time fans of Genie Francis, and more importantly to Ms. Francis herself. I will no longer be a part of a programming channel that will sponsor such a lack of tastefulness and common courtesy for a Legendary actress who graced the screens of ABC/GH for the better part of 30 years!!"

Another one of the squadron of Genie's Angels came up with this great idea (Thanks Suz, for letting me share it):

I posted earler about finding tons of Angel Christmas paper and Angel boxes. I took the bottom of the boxes and cut them flat then wrapped each of them with the angel paper. The box tops are Angel prints so they are ready to go. I made paper angel bows and put a banner ribbon wrap across the bottom that reads: Genie Francis "wrapped up" her Emmy win. Bring her home ABC. Bring Home "Lukes" Angel. Some of them just say ABC bring home a true Angel...Genie Francis. Across the very bottoms I put Operation: Genie's Angels. Since they are flat I can put them in manilla folders and mail them out.
